Stylish Pups Grooming is a small business in Tallahassee, FL
The salon is one on one, by appointment only, and pretty low stress environment.
Responsibilities include checking clients in and out, bathing, drying and brushing dogs, cleaning, and helping out where needed
- Reception: Answer phone, return calls, schedule appointments, process payments
- Assisting the grooming process such as holding and lifting pets.
- Bathing and drying furry friends to perfection as needed
- Maintaining a clean and organized pet-friendly environment: vacuum mop, dust, wipe down/disinfect surfaces, laundry,
- Able to tolerate conditions associated with grooming salon work including: cleaning of urine and feces, various pet bodily conditions, constant exposure to water and pet hair, and the use of disinfectants.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Availability Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm (hours will vary) Typically will be 15-25 hours a week
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related field is preferred, but not required
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and understand their needs
- Ability to handle and restrain pets of various sizes and temperaments
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform heavy lifting when necessary
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
