We are looking for a Fitness Manager on a full-time basis based out of our Orangevale location.

Availability:
- Full-time, 40 hours a week
- Shifts vary and availability is required during these times:
- Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Schedules vary; nights, weekends, and holidays may be required - ask your interviewer
Job Summary:
Responsible for administration and organization of a fitness club, all employee issues, and member issues involving the fitness operations of the club
Accountabilities:
- Exercises confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Oversees fitness sales, revenue, promotional activities, and general administration with the aim of driving the business forward
- Meets with prospective clients, providing them with necessary information while maintaining high standards of professionalism
- Works to maintain client retention by making 30-50 telephone calls per day
- Manages departmental budget and meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly and yearly financial targets and goals
- Responsible for training of all new employees as well as on-going staff development
- Schedules and maintains staffing rosters, departmental personnel files, and certifications
- Conducts weekly audits of PT agreements, tracking, sales and Series Sale, inclusive of scheduling
- Regularly updates client health data into an electronic member database complying with HIPPAA laws
- Conducts locker room checks and other actions to ensure a clean club
- Transfers to different clubs as needed
- Travels as needed to different locations while maintaining a valid driver’s and insurance
- Communicates effectively with members, coworkers and supervisor verbally and in writing
- Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Produces reports on club fitness budget, sessions, members, and other reports as requested
- Assists in the selection, hiring, and training of new employees in club and at new hire orientation
- Coaches and supervises club Certified Personal Trainers
- Ensures facility is kept clean and safe at all times through routine maintenance, cleaning, and safety checks
- Attends all mandatory meetings in club as well as offsite; in addition to conference calls
- Follows all health and safety requirements such as, but not limited to, physical distancing, regular surface cleaning, cough/sneeze etiquette, regular hand washing, and not coming to work when sick
- Promptly and thoroughly reviews all requested health and safety training provided, asking questions for any topic not clearly understood
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- B.A./B.S. or nationally recognized certification
- 1 year(s) experience in fitness or retail sales position
- Nationally recognized certifications or an approved secondary certification or college degree in related field from accredited university
- Completion of the next available manager training program
- Current CPR/AED/FIRST AID certification (within 60 days of employment, company provided)
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Multiple professional certifications (e.g., ACE, ACSM, NASM, or similar)
- Clean driving record and insurance
