Sudden Service, INC (SSI) is a subsidiary of the Taylor Group of Companies, a third-generation family-owned business based in Louisville, MS since 1927.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Contacts new and existing customers by phone to sell preventive maintenance agreements and other services.
- Utilizes sales leads, prospect lists, startup forms, past work orders, history reports, manually review information in sales files and communicates daily with other company personnel to find prospective customers.
- Prepares customer quotations to company standards. Clearly states pricing and services to be performed on all quotes.
- Files all quotes and sales in an orderly manner to allow for quick reference when customers make inquiries or when follow-up calls are needed to determine the status of a quote with a customer.
- Works with the General Service Manager and store Service Manager to develop sales strategies that will address all customer concerns and objections.
- Makes follow up calls daily to inquire about pending quotes.
- Submits sales reports to the General Service Manager for review and reports all quotes and sales activity for each month.
- After a sale is finalized, submit the quote and all pertinent details of the sale to the Service Department to assure accurate work scheduling and involvement.
- Reviews and processes customer service contracts to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of larger customers and corporations.
- Responsible for coordinating PM quotes and agreements that involve multiple stores or all stores.
- Establishes bid pricing, parts pricing, travel pricing and other charges to assure that bids are complete and competitive.
- Coordinates with all stores involved on which stores will service specific sites.
- Responsible for providing PM sales support, training, renewal reports, prospective customer reports and helps grow PM sales at all stores.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills to use Excel, Word, and Email.
- Skilled in typing, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed written bid specifications.
- Ability to make phone contact with customers and prospects at all levels of a business.
- Must work well with others and possess good people skills. Will be working closely with multiple departments such as Sales, Service, Rental, Parts, and Manufacturing.
- Good phone voice and phone skills.
Education and Experience :
High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
