We are looking for a competent personal care assistant to support a college educated 30 year old with muscular dystrophy with all activities of daily life. The fulfilment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpasses the challenges of this job. Experience in caring for a disabled client or family member will make you a strong candidate. Work takes place in the client’s home, which is a clean and safe environment. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with respiratory equipment (BiPap, Cough Assist, suction)
- Help with transfers using a ceiling lift
- Ensure client receives their medication
- Support client who can’t move on their own
- Help client dress, bathe, eat etc.
- Cook meals according to the customer’s restrictions
- Do necessary light housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Pay: From $16.25 per hour
