The Learning and Development Facilitator will partner closely with Manager of Operational Learning and Development to establish the strategy, design, and facilitation of operational learning and development solutions that will have a quantifiable impact on business performance. Learning and Development topics will include, but are not limited to; new hire training, products and services, sales, member service, process and procedures, coaching and other organizational development subjects.

A successful Learning and Development Facilitator will be a motivated self-starter who thrives on being organized and maintaining a structured approach to competing priorities.

This position has an on-site requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, schedules and delivers new hire training for branch positions (i.e., Personal Bankers, Member Service Representatives, Branch Operations Specialists)
  • Coordinates, schedules, and delivers training for all new hires as requested by a Department Head outside of Member Services (i.e., Lending, Mortgages, Business Services, Etc.)
  • Coordinates training times and facilities
  • Instructs and re-instructs employees with operational and technical training in a classroom or in a business setting across the footprint
  • Conducts formal and informal training needs analysis as well as identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies
  • Delivers consistent training to staff via on-site and off-site training methods
  • Delivers training via classroom, one-on-one, and teleconference
  • Maintains current knowledge and consistent compliance with all credit union policies and procedures
  • Ensures that training is an on-going process with regular follow up to reinforce training objectives
  • Implements, monitors, and revises the annual training plan, including lesson plans
  • Prepares and reports statistical training data to the management team
  • Develops and updates the training manuals for all topics
  • Creates an inventory of training delivery methods and tools, such as PowerPoint presentations, websites, etc
  • Tracks training requirements and records
  • Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training
  • Backs up other departmental staff as necessary
  • Achieves a minimum of "Satisfactory" rating on internal audits and examinations
  • Accomplishes the credit union's mission by completing relevant duties as needed when requested by management or other staff members
  • All other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in communications, teaching, or business related field is required. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree on a year-by-year basis. Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in staff training is required. Related operational/retail experience may be substituted for the two to three years of staff training.

  • Advanced knowledge of professional development curriculum methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of pedagogical techniques
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of programs (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote)
  • Knowledge of the credit union's branch operations and equipment
  • Knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, regulations and procedures
  • Knowledge of professional development tracking systems and requirements
  • Knowledge of sales, technical, supervisory and leadership training techniques
  • Knowledge of training record requirements and retention schedules
  • Demonstrated analytical and planning skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and observational skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to speak in front of large groups of people
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines
  • Ability to tolerate various learning abilities
  • Ability to express oneself clearly and articulately both orally and in writing
  • Ability to convey training objectives clearly while encouraging and motivating all trainees
  • Ability to effectively evaluate learning outcomes and make changes to the training curriculum as needed

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand frequently for delivering instruction
  • Must be able to communicate through speaking and hearing, and use visual acuity for presenting information to other employees, managers and/or vendors and other third party members
  • Must be able to lift and carry a moderate weight between 15 and 45 lbs. occasionally, such as for lifting and carrying training materials
  • Must be able to operate audio/visual equipment, such as televisions, projectors, etc.
  • Position may be required to work long and/or unusual hours to accommodate training needs
  • Position is required to travel by vehicle up to 50 miles each month to visit various credit union locations

Salary : $75,500 - $95,600
