What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Plumber position at SUGAR BOWL SKI RESORT?
Sugar Bowl Resort is currently hiring an experienced Master Level Plumber. This position provides plumbing system monitoring, repair and maintenance services in the support of Sugar Bowl Resort facilities and at privately held residences throughout the Sugar Bowl Village. Resort Maintenance Plumbers contribute to the minor and major facility improvements, renovations and up-keep of new and old facilities. Our plumbers participate in all facets of lifecycle maintenance management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be an experienced Master plumber
- Must have knowledge of building hydronic systems
- Must be able to meet code for new and retrofit type work
- Must be willing to accomplish small tasks and large projects.
- Must have a high level of knowledge of plumbing and pipefitting work
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain and repair commercial and residential plumbing equipment
- Fully understand UPC and California Plumbing Code 2019 requirements
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Willing to work independently and as part of a team
- Understand boiler equipment operation and functionality and troubleshoot and repair as needed.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Installing, repairing, and replacing commodes, sinks, water coolers, water heaters, dishwashers, shower valves, water faucets, flush valves, and other related fixtures and equipment.
- Completing preventive maintenance and continuous repair of numerous water (piping) systems throughout resort facilities and at private residences which includes mixing valves, domestic water systems, heating and cooling piping, water pumps, water faucets, flush valves, and other related fixtures and equipment.
- Set plumbing fixtures and connect fixtures to the Drain Waste & Vent piping system.
- Connect fixtures to the water stud outs, test fixtures for proper operation.
- Repair faucets and mixing valves.
- Clean fixture traps & / or drain, repair leaks in water supply lines, &/ or drains
- Perform the rough-in of the Drain, Waste & Vent system of a building.
- Perform the setting of fixtures & plumbing appurtenance.
- Replace a water heater
- Perform service work on equipment such as: boiler systems, water heaters, filtration systems, hydronic heating systems as well snow melt repair
- Observe energy and utility usage of corporate buildings
- Orders project materials through manager or as directed after preparing a materials list for each project.
- Responsible for personally performing facility, residential maintenance and construction tasks.
- Performs a weekly walk-through of facilities, when possible, and maintains inventory list of on-going or day-to-day maintenance required.
- Responsible for safety measures at each job site so as to provide protection to himself, other workers and the general public.
- Maintains records for each facility as prescribed by the Resort Maintenance Manager
- Responsible for assisting in all aspects of building maintenance and construction projects.
- A strong focus on safety practices is required
- Provide a positive experience that exceeds the guest, staff and homeowners and expectations.
- When not assigned to plumbing work you may be assigned to work in areas not related to a plumbing background.
- Participate in snow removal work in a high alpine environment. Subject to cold and wet conditions.
