BREWERY ASSISTANT
Sugar Creek Brewing Company, one of Charlotte's fastest growing breweries, is looking for one new team member for the position of Packaging Operations & Brewery Assistant. Candidates who apply must be first and foremost uplifting team motivators. Immediate Responsibilities:
- ENTRY LEVEL - Opportunity for increase pay after 90 days of successful work
- BUILD BEER ORDERS - Learn to operate brewery software and print and pack orders on the truck. Will be required to SAFELY operate a FORKLIFT and pallet jacks.
- DRIVE BEER TO LOCAL DISTRIBUTORS - 1 to 2 days per week you will be driving a NON CDL 27 FT box truck to drop off orders at distributor warehouses located around the Carolinas. CLEAN DRIVING RECORD REQUIRED
- KEG FILLING/KEG WASHING - operate and maintain the keg cleaning machine and Clean, Prepare and Sanitize Keg Filling apparatus.
- INVENTORY CONTROL - unload deliveries, organize materials and maintain and report an accurate count of the inventory.
Future Responsibilities:
- All brewhouse operators and cellar personnel have started in the above described position. Future responsibilities will increase with ambition and aptitude. Typical Progression includes the following.
- Clean, Sanitize and Prepare Fermenters for receival of wort
- Transfer and Carbonation of Beer
- Filtration and Packaging of Beer
- Maintenance and handling of Brewery Equipment and Raw Materials
- Production of Wort in Brewhouse
- Quality Control, Microbiological Work, Sensory Analysis
Physical Requirements: Lift 75 lbs. from ground to shoulder high. Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders. Work in confined spaces. Work safely with cleaning chemicals and work in a loud environment with basic safety accommodations. Work in the Carolina Heat. It gets hot in the summer in the warehouse.
Entry Level pay starts at $15/hr, after 90 days of performance; the new team member will undergo a short interview and receive a merit based pay increase.
