Reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Counsel manages the company’s legal and risk management strategies relating to all divisions, with a major focus on our real estate and food business portfolios, and formation and organizational structure within the Company. You will be a member of the executive team.   Responsibilities: • Analyzing and providing legal guidance and risk advice on all aspects of our business particularly relating to our portfolio of real estate location and our food related businesses.  • Sources, negotiates the purchasing, development and managements of real estate projects and leases for company operations, including office space, restaurant locations, and warehouses. • Negotiating and drafting commercial business contracts for all divisions.   • Partners with the CFO and CEO to identify and manage risks and legal strategy for all operations and contracts.  • Be an active and respected leader on our executive team. Preferred Qualifications: • 3-5 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house setting including strong drafting and negotiating skills for real estate and commercial business transactions and contracts, • Ability to identify, strategize, anticipate, and respond to a broad range of issues related to business operations and risk management, • Exceptional organizational and communication skills and ability to articulate legal terms and risks to leadership and non-legal teams, • Strong people skills with proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels of management and work on cross-functional teams, • Practical and proactive problem-solver, with a positive attitude and a sense of humor, to identify and analyze legal issues and develop solutions in practical, real-world terms, • Previous experience in the real estate industry is expected.    Employee Benefits:  Sugar Mountain has a lot to offer, from quality-focused, passionate, and fun colleagues to competitive benefits and pay.   We 100% of your medical, dental, vision and life insurance premiums, along with paid time-off, paid holidays and a 401(k) plan with a company match.  Employees enjoy a meal on us every day and a 35% employee discount at all Sugar Mountain locations.   Commitment to our Communities: As part of our mission to Change the Way America eats, we’ve created the Beecher's Foundation, a non-profit supported by our family of companies.
