The Design Development Project Engineer holds a pivotal role in facilitating the creation of new stores within the company. This position demands a combination of construction expertise and procurement duties to ensure seamless project management from inception to completion, collaborating closely with real estate, design, permitting, and final closeout teams.

Position Overview
The Design Development Project Engineer holds a pivotal role in facilitating the creation of new stores within the company. This position demands a combination of construction expertise and procurement duties to ensure seamless project management from inception to completion, collaborating closely with real estate, design, permitting, and final closeout teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper setup & management of projects on S B’s project management platform, internal server & shared docs.
- Coordinate site investigations among landlords, real estate agents, and architect teams.
- Assist in data input for buildout budgets with the D&D team and general contractors.
- Create and distribute bidding documents to selected GCs.
- Manage landlord approvals and requirements for designs construction.
- Coordinate signage proposals & installation dates with signage vendors.
- Manage ordering, tracking and delivery of all owner supplied items (FF&E).
- Take inventory, track and facilitate the transfer of owner supplied items.
- Ensure estimates, invoices, and final payments are submitted to the S B accounting team promptly and paid to external partners.
- 2-4 years of experience in a construction environment or related trade.
- Proficiency in G Suite (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Gmail).
- Demonstrated interest in growth and internal development.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn, understand, and communicate the S B brand through physical stores.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally.
