Join our Services_AME team within Services division in United States as Buyer to help us take PURCHASING to the next level.
To source the best possible vendor/supplier for all purchase orders as required. The Buyer reports to the Purchasing Manager and in their absence they will report to the Purchasing Agent.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Source and order shop and project related goods, administrative materials and provide support to the Purchasing Manager (PM) and Purchasing Agent (PA).
- Input Purchase Order (PO) information into the computer system for the purpose of tracking, receiving and for accounts payables/receivables to perform their processes as required.
- Consolidate POs as needed to eliminate possible multiple PO’s to the same vendor for the same project/level
- Produce monthly reports on open POs for the previous month's reconciliation of open POs that are processed by the buyer.
- Work to achieve the fewest and best suitable vendors for Sulzer required
- Follow up on received POs for accuracy in quantity and the delivery date was met
- To participate in the ISO process for reviewing critical vendors and the setup of all vendors in the computer system
- When Purchasing Manager and Purchasing Agent are out, this position iwill manage the department.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Purchasing / Procurement / Supply Chain experience, 2 or more years experience
- Two years of experience related to offices practices needed
- Strong negotiation skills with a problem solving background an asset
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in latest Microsoft software preferred
- The ability to multitask and excellent communication skills is a must
- Preferred candidate will have experience in Energy Services purchasing and familar with engineered products and materials and services around the turbomachinery industry.
