Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing general financial analytical tasks, process clarification, and systems improvement. The role is integral in supporting financial planning, analysis, and studies for the organization alongside general accounting and financial functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to provide insightful recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis for the entire organization.
• Facilitate the development and preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets in support of strategic planning and decision making.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant financial data and provide feedback on key performance indicators (KPI).
• Develop and update customer pricing model and policy.
• Evaluate internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
• Review accounts and coordinate with outside auditors to provide needed information for the annual external audit.
• Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Analyze processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins while identifying opportunities for cost savings efficiencies.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
• Maintain accurate and complete records.
• Participate in special projects or initiatives, as required.

Required Job Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience with multiple Accounting Information Systems preferred, but not required.
• Must be US Citizen and able to pass an extensive background check and credit check.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Excellent problem solving, presentation, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail.
• Must be highly collaborative with strong teamwork attitude.

Optional/Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting team with commercial and government contracts.
• Familiarity with IT services contracts and/or products.
• GSA Schedule administration.
• Superior communication skills.

Work Conditions

Work is performed in an office environment located in Huntsville, AL. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position will often move about inside the office to collaborate with other departments. Often operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, computer and/or printer. Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at a time. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients either in the office or via Microsoft teams - travel is estimated to be less than 5% annually.
