The Title Specialist will optimize the use of our internal systems to handle the sale of wholesale vehicles directly to licensed vehicle dealers while managing title processing and related documentation. This role will also assist in other remarketing/fleet responsibilities to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Title Processing:
- Facilitate the release of vehicle titles to the buyer
- Contact third parties as appropriate to resolve any title issues
- Conduct online research to locate missing or needed documents and find contact information for third parties
- Maintain a database of contact information and ensure all tasks in our internal systems are updated with professional comments and accurate statuses
- Review original satisfactions, cancellations, and releases for accuracy before completing process of vehicle sale
- Remarketing Functions:
- Represent Summit Fleet vehicles at auctions
- Process sales through in-house sales systems
- Coordinate electronic condition reports and other remarketing tasks as needed
- Sales and Dealer Management:
- Build and manage a consistent buying dealer base to foster month-over-month sales volume growth while maintaining premium sales price retention
- Collect and process funds for vehicles sold to dealers
- Utilize necessary tools such as the internet, social media, and prior contacts to develop a comprehensive dealer base
- Leverage Summit Fleet's internal programs and systems to process sales transactions
- Manage the arbitration process for any vehicles sold to dealers assigned to you
- Any other duties as assigned
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and self-management skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and dealers
- Excellent time management and strong problem-solving skills
- Team player with the ability to perform well in a high-stress environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient in Excel with intermediate to advanced skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas
- Ability to conduct web-based research independently
- Ability to compose professional correspondence for internal and external clients
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Position will require a sales license within specific states; licensing can be acquired after hire and will be paid for by Summit Fleet
- 2 years of sales experience preferred
- 2 years of automotive sales experience preferred
- 2 years of customer service experience
- Experience with title processing or a related field is a plus
