A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PODIATRY MEDICAL ASSISTANT
As a Podiatry Medical Assistant, you help keep our practice functioning smoothly! Kind and compassionate, you ensure that every patient feels well taken care of as you assist with their treatment. When a patient arrives for their appointment, you lead them to a room and get them comfortable. You then assist the doctor with whatever they need, performing duties such as changing bandages, administering injections, making orthotic impressions, or taking and developing x-rays.
As you see patients, you maintain accurate records in our system concerning their treatment and progress. When the appointment is finished, you schedule the next visit and clean up the exam room. You find satisfaction in developing your skills and knowledge, and you take pride in helping our patients get back on their feet!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PODIATRY MEDICAL ASSISTANT
- Current medical assistant certification (Preferred)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification (Preferred)
- 1 years of experience as a medical assistant
- Proficiency with computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish Preferred)

WORK SCHEDULE
