Summit Law is a new law firm established by an attorney with approximately 20 years of legal experience. The law firm has an emphasis on business law, estate planning, and real estate transactions.
Summit Law is looking to fill a multifaceted position –part paralegal, part receptionist, and part office manager. The ideal candidate will relish the opportunity to do a variety of things each day, and the prospect of getting in on the ground floor of a new firm to help establish systems and protocols.
This position’s responsibilities include:
- Greeting firm clients on the phone and in person
- Drafting and revising business, estate planning, and real estate documents and related correspondence
- Scheduling and calendaring client meetings
- Managing and supervising probate and trust administrations
- Opening files, preparing and sending invoices, and recording payments
- Managing office space, including ordering of supplies, managing and scanning files, and assisting with décor in, and setup of, our office space
- Creating checklists, flowcharts, and other systems for workflow and office management
- Ability to serve as a notary public (the candidate is not required to be a notary at the time of application, but would need to obtain the designation as soon as possible after hire)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including good judgment when interacting with clients and guests of the firm
- A friendly, “can-do” attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience in a busy office environment
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe; experience with Clio a plus but not required
- Experience with, or willingness to learn and master, mail merges using Word and Excel
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks, adapt to change, and manage and organize projects with varying deadlines
- Willingness to work full time or close to full time hours
- A process/system driven mindset
- A valid driver’s license for occasional errands

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
