What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Operating Room position at Summit Orthopedics?
This Summit Orthopedics position is subject to the requirements outlined in the recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Final Rule making Covid-19 vaccinations mandatory for employees in most health care settings, including those in Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Candidates for employment who will perform work within any of Summit’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers will need to be fully vaccinated, which means at least two weeks post final vaccine, or have been granted an approved medical or religious exemption prior to a start date.

Position eligible for a $5,000 Sign-On bonus (pro rated based on FTE)
The Operating Room nurse will circulate for all orthopedic cases at the Surgery Center. The nurse functions as an integral part of the surgical team. The RN possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, equipment, tools, and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
This position is a part-time day role primarily based at our Minnetonka Ambulatory Surgery Center. 10 hour shifts (subject to change).
Training Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday; Training Week 2: Tuesday and Friday
