SUMMARY
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a
professional level and works closely with senior management and Corp HR team. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: training, reporting, recruiting, payroll administration, employee relations, onboarding and policy implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Maintains employment records on all hourly employees, (i.e. personnel files and training records) and ensures that all information is kept confidential and secure.
Gather, prepare and present monthly reporting on headcount, training completion, COVID tracker, safety measures, etc.
Provides administrative support to the VP of HR and Corporate HR Managers
Prepare and distribute monthly Global HR meeting minutes.
Audits, verifies, and adjusts payroll for Tech Center hourly and salary employees as needed.
Creates advertising and marketing materials using company brand standards.
Assist with hourly recruiting.
Assist Corporate HR Manager with employee engagement events to include luncheons, United Way, benefit enrollment, etc.
Serve as a resource to employees in regards to HR related policies and procedures.
Aid in the Implement of new Global HRIS with Corporate HR Team.
Special projects and assignments as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
One of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related major from an accredited 4 year college/university
2 or more years of experience required in a Human Resources Department as a generalist.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
MS Office skills with expertise in Excel
Ability to multi task and set priorities
A minimum score of 26 on the Wonderlic Contemporary Cognitive Ability Test.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position typically does not require any travel.
