Market Manager, Marketing Manager, Technical Marketing Manager, Marketing Research Manager
Client is seeking to hire a Technical Market Research Manager to support our research and development teams.
The Technical Market Research Manager is responsible for connecting technology trends and analysis to business growth and innovation initiatives. Must be able to act as Subject Matter Expert for characterization of market impact and demand dynamics as they relate to the company’s existing products or target growth initiatives, and the strength of competing technologies and/or materials. This will include threat identification, emerging technology analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence initiatives of a highly technical nature.
A successful Technical Market Research Manager will communicate effectively in various settings and styles, work cross-functionally with different Business Units, and possess a strong continuous improvement mindset.
Primary Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze and report emerging technologies, competitive intelligence and technical market research in support of company growth projects as well as existing markets.
Lead analytical support to commercial and technical staff working on assigned growth projects. Aggregate, filter, and provide analysis of technical market research to facilitate the identification and completion of projects intended to grow the business.
Proactively identify information sources, gather data, track assumptions, and analyze relationships in support of modeling and trending efforts for selected markets. This will include patent tracking and analysis.
Lead development of tools, plans, and periodic reports using business modeling techniques where appropriate to evaluate, analyze and communicate the current and future state of technologies and their impact on the business.
Collect, organize, and assemble department activity reports; assure documentation and storage of important department and project information.
Ownership and process design for creation, review, dissemination, and all other relevant business processes related to forecasting, business plans, threat analysis, and other reports.
Leadership and project management of initiatives related to market research.
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field is required.
Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial, economic analysis or engineering in an industrial or B2B environment.
An equivalent combination of applicable experience and education may be considered.
Skills and Knowledge:
Experience in Aerospace & Defense and materials manufacturing is highly desirable

Pay: $94,561.88 - $104,650.00 per year
