RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Financial Analyst, is responsible for preparing and analyzing various financial reports, including profitability reports. Reports can include both historical and forecasted data. This position assists in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget. The position requires putting the member and fellow employees first - every day - exemplifying Sun East's Mission and Values in all that you do. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 3 - 5 years finance/accounting experience; Possess advanced Excel knowledge with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint; Previous General Ledger and ALM software experience preferred; Must understand and comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as regulatory accounting principles; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Must be organized and detail oriented ;Must be able to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously; Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsible for the accounting for the Credit Union's investments. Maintain knowledge on use and functionality of various investment platforms. Prepares, reconciles, and interprets monthly financial reports, including ad hoc financial analysis. Responsible for the monthly download to the Profitstars/Profitability system. Assists with maintaining the following parameters in the Profitstars system including Profitability: all settings, assumptions, methodologies, and the chart of accounts. Assists with preparation of the annual budget, including meeting with managers to incorporate division and organizational goals meeting submission deadlines. Inform department managers of the due dates for the submission of budget information. Ensure information is received timely to meet report submission deadlines. Assists with monitoring of monthly budget variances reporting to management significant variances. Backup performing monthly Visible Equity download process. Provides quarterly data to Asset Liability Management vendor for preparation of quarterly analysis. Reconciles reports back to Credit Union financials. Prepares various external reports (ESI, QCR, Raddon) ensuring deadlines are met. Serves as a liaison between the Marketing Department and the Finance Department to ensure proper flow of data and information. Responsible for reconciling the accounts of the Sun East Foundation; preparing the quarterly financial statements; preparing the annual IRS tax filing; preparing the annual golf outing fundraising report, along with any other fundraising or other reports as requested by the Executive Director or Foundation Board of Directors; and assisting the Executive Director and the Senior Financial Analyst with questions and research on Foundation membership questions. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
