The Sun Valley Summer Lift Operator is responsible for the safe loading and unloading of guests of all ages and abilities that are using our chairlifts. As a member of the lift department team, the lift operator will provide exceptional service for our guests during their visit.
Summer Lift Operator Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow company/department safety policies and procedures.
- Able to work independently or in a small group to accomplish daily job related tasks.
- Complete pre-operational procedures and inspections.
- Assist in daily set up and routine maintenance of work areas.
- Anticipate guest’s needs and provide service above and beyond guest expectations.
- Remain alert for guests improperly loading and unloading the ski lifts.
- Assist with completing lift closing procedures.
- Work with all mountain departments respectfully in assisting and resolving issues that could arise during the operations.
Summer Lift Operator Qualifications:
- 18 years or older, high school diploma or equivalent
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Completion of Sun Valley lift department / lift operator training
- Have the ability to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings (6:00 a.m.)
- Able to work through the entire summer season
