The IT Manager is responsible for leading the IT infrastructure and Cybersecurity strategy and execution for the organization. This role directs, organizes, and oversees the daily operations of the Infrastructure and Security team and establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards for the team and the organization and identifies opportunities for improvement. The IT Manager will provide people management, communication, project strategy and oversight to ensure activities align with the business objectives including budgeting and providing leadership to the employees. This an onsite position at our Temple, TX and would require 25-30% travel based on business needs.

- Direct and oversee the planning and design of infrastructure and cyber security systems.
- Manage team of two - three network engineers. Provide daily leadership and management to the Infrastructure and Security teams/department including personnel management functions, budgeting, and controlling expenses, while ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures.

(In other words, the key to this position is people management for a small team, in addition to strong technical skills)
- Assist the Director of Infrastructure and the CIO in drafting goals and objectives, including contributing to the strategic plan; establishing, developing, and approving schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals; performing ongoing planning functions to meet performance targets and improving operations while following division and agency policies and procedures.
- Recommend the selection, design, development, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of business solutions.
- Expert in the latest cloud infrastructure and security technologies with capabilities to implement and support.
- Work closely with management, application support and staff to assess and respond to infrastructure and security business systems and reporting needs.
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience leading and maintaining IT operations and security departments, projects, employees, and teams. Preferably in Project Management and or Management role
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Azure over Microsoft technologies, including Azure, DevOps, IT, Ops, etc.
- Strong experience improving organizations Cybersecurity posture (capabilities, processes, controls, etc.) as well as cybersecurity audits and penetration testing.
- Expert in O365 and Microsoft environment.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Endpoint protection and remediation a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
- Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
