About the Role:
You will play a vital role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students in one Dearborn school, with the possibility of serving an additional school depending on student needs. You will provide individual and group counseling, conduct assessments, collaborate with families and educators, and connect students with community resources.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address student social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized student support plans.
- Conduct social-emotional assessments and screenings.
- Identify and connect students with appropriate community resources.
- Advocate for students and their families.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university.
- Possession of a valid Michigan State License as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a School Social Work Specialist (310) endorsement.ORthe ability to obtain the endorsement within a reasonable timeframe.
- At least 1 year of experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting (preferred).
