As the HR Specialist, you will focus on learning initiatives, career development, job analysis, classification, and support the HR team in other initiatives to enhance our culture and drive employee engagement. You will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for Sundance employees at all levels. A critical responsibility of this role is ensuring that all mandatory, non-mandatory, continuing education, and professional development training is administered, recorded, and completed in a timely manner. You’ll also assess job positions, develop career path plans including competencies required for progression, and focus on developing team members to build sustainable competitive advantage. This role requires a creative individual who can develop and facilitate unique and engaging training programs/workshops that will appeal to various adult learning styles that exist within the workplace.
What You'll be Doing
- Assist in employee development and retention programs including employee and manager check-ins during the employee life cycle
- Maintain knowledge of the latest trends related to HR, retention, employee engagement, and training and development
- Develop and maintain employee career pathing programs while training managers to promote and facilitate employee career growth and development
- Present or acquire training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos
- Conduct special projects and assist in other areas of HR, as needed, to help the team achieve goals and initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in Human Resources; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- 1 year of experience in training and development preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Previous experience using an HRIS database, training platform, or learning management system (LMS); ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Experience presenting training and development programs preferred
