What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Administrator position at Sundance Institute?
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Network Administrator is charged with overseeing the design, management, performance, and security of the Institute's network, phone, and Internet services while working closely with coworkers across Institute offices to achieve zero downtime of services.
Working closely under the Director of Technology Services, the Network Administrator supports Sundance Institutes commitment to oversee the design, management, performance, and security of the Institute's network, phone and Internet services working closely with coworkers in other offices and time zones on the constantly evolving mission to achieve zero downtime of services.
This full-time position is based out of our Park City, UT office location in order to work onsite in a hybrid capacity throughout the year. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required at key points to meet deadlines and respond to on-call needs.
Top priorities include but are not limited to

Designing, setting up, and maintaining a complex TCP/IP LAN and WAN including all aspects of routing and QOS.

Setting up and maintaining voice over IP and video communication systems in both permanent and temporary offices.

Managing critical information technology security issues and recommending solutions.

Providing technical resources for the Technology Services Department by supporting systems which includes, but is not limited to, security software, card readers, cameras, reports, and databases.

Planning for, implementing, and supporting a complex WiFi infrastructure and WAN for the annual Sundance Film Festival, as well as lead the network setup for all Festival venues.

Ensuring responsive support when services are interrupted, and restoring functionality in a timely and efficient manner.

Managing healthy vendor relationships with service providers and ensuring support, and escalation, processes are known and up-to-date.

Evaluating network related hardware, software and services, recommending purchases consistent with short and long term objectives, and managing equipment support agreements.

Constantly innovating new approaches to improve efficiency, automate repetitive work and reduce manual tasks.

Recommending and implementing network and security policies and ensuring organizational adherence to security policies.

Maintaining detailed network design documentation and configuration backups.

Planning for and setting up networking needs for year-round Institute Labs and special events.

Maintaining servers to ensure they are successfully monitoring the network environment.

Supporting the System Administrator in the network setup of server virtualization, SAN, SQL, file server, and terminal server systems.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:

Legal authorization to work in the United States.
-
3 years experience in all areas of local and wide area networks management and administration, including system configuration, setup, troubleshooting, planning, designing, implementation, and user support.

3 years experience managing and troubleshooting VoIP phone systems.
-
Network certifications, Cisco certification of CCNP or higher.
-
1 years experience working with HP Procurve CLI,Cisco IOS, and/or Ubiquity, and configuring CLI on switches, routers, and access points.

1 years experience designing and deploying wireless networks.

Experience installing and supporting Microsoft and Linux server technologies.

Understanding of network security and the ability to implement and manage firewalls.

Ability to research technical manuals and guides to respond to questions and solve problems.

Ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities and projects.
