What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Nanny position at SunEnergy1?
This position will support our CEO's Family.
About the 4 children: Two Girls (Ages 15 & 10) and Two Boys (Ages 13 & 8)
Ideal personality (of Nanny): You are a creative, loving and joyful nanny who has school aged experience, and are excited to support the children in learning through play. While kids are in school, you are comfortable managing a household and performing housekeeping duties. With the children, you are able to follow schedules throughout the day and are are happy to engage in play, singing, and reading with the children, as well as bringing them on adventures when they are not in school– both locally and while traveling (trips to the library, music classes, museum, splash pad, pool, etc.).
(From parents directly): “You are comfortable communicating with us to work together and find the optimal relationship between us as a family and you as our nanny.”
Requirements:
- Experience with and are comfortable working with 3-4 children simultaneously.
- A clean drivers license, vehicles will be provided
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to help with homework up to high school school level
- Comfortable with some travel (national and international)
Responsibilities while children are in school and are not the main priority:
- Ensuring neatness and organization of children’s games, books, and other belongings.
- Anticipate events and get supplies needed for family in advance (ex: gifts for friends, sports supplies, school supplies, etc.)
- Running household errands
- Support with household-related projects and needs with some independence (ex: You notice that a door is broken; you call the door-fixer, and schedule for a time you will be there to let them in. Parents aren’t involved in any of this)
- Switching out clothing seasonally for children, donating clothes
- If there are no household related tasks, you may use the time to plan crafts, games and projects for the children after school!
After school responsibilities (when children are home) :
- Loving, attentive care of both children, including the meeting of all basic needs
- Engaging children daily in learning and exploration via books, stories, songs and play
- Limit screen time... outside time, crafts, painting, cooking, games, etc.
- Planning and participate in age appropriate activities
- Transportation of children to and from classes and/or extracurricular activities
- Provide snacks to the children
- Oversee that homework is completed
Important to note:
- Hours: M-F 11:30a- 8p or 12p- 8:30p
