Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversight of all day-to-day operations to promote the residents’ health and wellness through regular visits with each resident, resident assessment and ongoing communication with other care team members.
- Ensure resident health and wellness through assessment of physical and emotional status to determine care needs, and monitors implementation of interventions.
- Supervision and scheduling of staff to assure quality of care and services.
- Supervise and if needed provide/assist with personal care, including bathing, meals, laundry, housekeeping, and recreational activities.
- Order medications and oversee the resident’s medication schedule for residents receiving medication administration services.
- Maintain resident’s health record and ensures proper documentation for all aspects of resident care.
- Ensures residents receives the care specified in care plans.
- Conducts in-service and training as needed.
- Work collaboratively with ancillary Nursing Home key department staff.
- Coordination of services with outside agencies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for state and federal regulations.
- Performs additional duties, within scope of practice as necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current state nurses license (LPN or RN), or Licensed Medication Technician would be preferred; or Current Assisted Living Administrator License preferred
- Minimum of two-year experience in assisted living/long term care industry preferred
- Ability to respond during off-duty hours to questions and emergencies as scheduled
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership/management skills
- Restorative care philosophy, excellent professional skills (both assessment and hands-on), and good communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to assisted living regulations
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn computer software.
- Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, families, other team members and support agencies.
- Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills.
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
- Ability to comply with the Residents Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
