JOB TITLE: Facility Maintenance Technician /Truss Mechanic
JOB LOCATION: St. George, UT
REPORTING TO: Truss Location Manager
DIVISION: Truss
FUNCTION: Under the direction of the shop supervisor, the shop mechanic is responsible for Preventative maintenance, repairs and installation of truss production equipment in Sunpro truss facilities
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values;
- Ensures that all truss equipment is in excellent working condition to avoid downtime and delays in production;
- Perform minor electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs;
- Check and change all oils and perform proper lubrication in equipment;
- Maintain tools as required to perform job;
- Hold Medical card;
- Maintain insurable driving record;
- Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times. Offer training on best practices on equipment maintenance;
- Willing to travel to all truss locations as needed;
- Assist in other positions around the shop on an as needed basis. Including but not limited to table builder, sawyer, saw helper, moving and catching trusses, operating a fork lift to move trusses and lumber in the yard, delivering trusses and other items to the job site.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to move at least 50 pounds.
