A Police Officer must be able to perform a variety of crime prevention, investigation, order maintenance and support duties as follows: performs preventive patrol in an assigned area, continually observing for criminal activity, safety hazards, traffic violations and persons needing assistance. A Police Officer position involves regular and irregular work and shift rotations necessary to provide police service around the clock (weekends and holidays included).
