Our Laredo Distribution Center, a 187,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking Quality Supervisor to join our team, we have various openings in different schedules. In this role you will be responsible for moving product in the warehouse in receiving, shipping or inventory departments, loading and unloading trucks. This role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor, key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Primary Function:
The Quality Supervisor directly supervises the quality assurance auditor team and has the responsibility for adherence to the Mastronardi Produce Quality Audit Program. Verification of outbound product and adherence to quality procedures and processes to provide assurance that product meets customer and statutory. Quality Supervisor monitors and reports GMP/Food Safety non-compliances. The Quality Supervisor also has overall responsibility for the control and monitoring of the scales to ensure all scales are measuring product within established tolerances.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervises quality auditors to ensure audits are conducted according to the Mastronardi Produce Quality Audit Program, e.g. audit methods and criteria are understood, carried out and evaluated
- Oversee and prepare the weekly attendance and productivity reports.
- Prepare and monitor the non-conformity report.
- Manage and monitor Ultipro system for approval and correction.
- Update weekly KPI report (Rejections, PO received, Productivity, Headcount, SO shipped, Private labels completed per shift, Approval CIC’s requests per shift).
- New hire candidates interview and if hired their training.
- Daily monitoring and correction of errors on the inbound process, and safety chain process.
- Daily control and update share folders (validate photos of all PO’s shipped during shift, CIC’s requests,
PO daily report)
- Prepares auditor work schedules to provide an adequate number of audits against product produced.
- Daily control and registration of all equipment (Laptop, Tablets, Temp calibrators).
- Pass down of daily pending activities via email (verifications, audits, equipment pictures etc.).
- Daily communication of the work plan previous of the start of the shift.
- Complete 10 quality spot checks per week (safety Chain)
- Manage and monitor the Driver Registration System.
- Works with production supervisor/management to effect appropriate correction action if deviations occur
- Collects, maintains and analyzes audit results against established parameters
- Performs quality audits when required
- Maintains the Mastronardi Produce Scale Calibration Program
- Actively supports efforts to achieve and maintain SQF (Food Safety and Quality) certification
Shift: Thursday to Saturday and every other Wednesday 4:00Pm to 4:00Am
Education/Background Requirements:
- College Degree preferred
- Supervisor/Management experience ideally in the produce industry preferred
- Quality Assurance experience preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of quality systems, HACCP, ISO 9001, cGMP, etc. considered an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
- Environment includes a refrigerated warehouse, where temperature is approximately 55°
- Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs
