WHAT WE DO:

Since its founding in 2008 and entry into residential solar in 2017, Suntuity Renewables has become one of the largest end-to-end residential solar companies in the country with over 10,000 system installations across 25 states and originated opportunities representing over 200 Megawatts (“MW”). Leveraging its history in utility and large commercial solar, Suntuity became a top-10 US residential solar company within 3 years of its residential foray. With a strategic focus on the broader electrification market opportunity which includes power generation, storage and EV charging, the company has established a strong partner ecosystem with top-tier equipment suppliers and third-party financiers that has resulted in a >25% install CAGR over the past three years and a robust $55 million backlog comprising over 1,100 projects. In May 2023, Suntuity announced a business combination with Beard Energy Transition Acquisition Corp (NYSE: BRD) that will result in Suntuity becoming a publicly traded company (NYSE: STY).

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Sr. VP of Operations will manage, direct, and implement operational strategies and objectives to ensure the delivery and profitability of the residential solar installation department’s production goals. They will be responsible for the management and development of multiple domestic residential solar installation fulfillment centers, and must be able to coordinate, communicate, and motivate service teams across various regions.

  • Manage the operations function concurrent with:

Business growth,
Introduction of new operational systems/protocols/standards,
Meeting departmental financial objectives,
Maintenance of SLA standards; maximizing productivity while mitigating loss/deficiencies,
Development and management of suppliers/vendors/sub-contractors in the pursuit of maintaining budget/waste/turnover,
Meeting divisional goals in relation to safety, quality, and on-time delivery of products.

  • Ability to install over 1000 solar projects a month to meet and exceed company targets
  • Interface with design teams, and coordinate with permitting, survey, and inspection teams (internally, as well as within the local region), as well as intra-departmental teams (sales, customer service, human resources, finance, etc.).
  • Conduct and/or attend daily/weekly/monthly company meetings and conference calls to ensure the stability and scheduling of all residential solar projects.
  • Provide daily updates and correspondence to executive leadership, sales and design teams, as well as individual installation crews as necessary to ensure project sustainability and success.
  • Develop additional territories and service locations as necessary. Additional installation fulfillment locations will be developed according to sales forecasting, executive direction, and service need.
  • Maintain service fulfillment, vendor management, and operational budget.
  • Responsible for reduction in project deficiencies, employee development, state and federal compliance, OSHA guidelines/regulations, and corporate best standards.
  • Assess and assist in upgrading the management talent base within operations to achieve growth and meet market needs (i.e. reduced cost, shorter manufacturing/product introduction cycle times and on-time project delivery).
  • Conceive, research, plan, target, and control reductions in cost and product lead times on existing and new projects.
  • Manage and assist in coordinating efforts between support departments within the organization.
  • Participate in the implementation of process improvement policies and protocols to decrease costs and promote on-time delivery.
  • Create a productive department through increased written and verbal communication, streamlined project management practices, and project review standards.
  • Administer and manage the company’s safety and quality to provide an adequate and safe working environment.
  • Establish and assess the department's annual operating budget and service delivery forecasting as agreed to by the company CEO.
  • Contribute to the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals as set forth in the budget.
  • Perform OPS Reviews, covering current and future forecasts and delinquencies/deficiencies.
  • Drive the achieving of the division's yearly financial objectives for all service locations reporting to the incumbent through planning, directing, controlling, implementing, evaluating, monitoring, and forecasting as needed to achieve budgets and cost of sales.
  • Contribute to the overall long-range planning process.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Extensive and diversified background with at least 5 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
  • Superior verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to travel to satellite offices for extended periods of time.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
