About the Role

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, from vendor selection and negotiation to order placement and delivery coordination. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.

Strategic Sourcing

  • Conduct market research to identify potential supplies and assess their capabilities.
  • Development and implement sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.

Negotiation

  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimal contract terms.
  • Collaborate with other teams to finalize and execute contracts.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address and issues or concerns.

Contract Management

  • Manage contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and track supplier performance against contractual obligations.

Order Placement

  • Generate purchase orders based on production requirements and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely order placement.

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to the supply chain, including disruptions and changes in market conditions.
  • Development contingency plans to address supply chain challenges.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist or in a similar role
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to create and execute sourcing strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain best practices.
  • Proficiency in using ERP or similar supply chain management systems.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
