What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct – English position at SUNY Sullivan?
SUNY Sullivan is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach Composition I with Studio for fall 2023. The successful candidate must be willing and able to commit to delivering well-prepared lessons; holding weekly on-site office hours; engaging in regular and timely communication with students and staff via college email; developing and following clear and transparent grading practices; adhering to college and department policies; and submitting requested grades, records, and academic paperwork by posted deadlines.
This course will be scheduled in the morning and/or afternoon.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in a subject area, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching.
- Possess the ability to interact with a diverse student and staff population effectively.
- Possess a strong commitment to student success.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
