SEMC is looking for an IT Manager to maintain our high standards for security, align us with modern best-practices and tooling, and ensure our all-remote workforce is able to work efficiently and securely 24/7.
You: Security first, passionate about standardization and best practices; a believer in documentation; capable trouble-shooter but a facilitator of self-service; familiar with corporate IT infrastructure particularly off-site servicing: auth, DNS, endpoint and systems management, mail, VPN, etc.
We: Aren’t actually evil; entirely remote, global workforce; develop AAA-class multi-platform games using an in-house game engine; recently completed a transition from entirely on-prem operations to hosted to in-cloud; scaling up operations to fulfill new contracts; transitioning from Subversion to Perforce
Responsibilities:
- Provide security, reliability and stability of our IT systems and services,
- Ensuring our staff have access to documentation, resources and support in a timely manner,
- Identify, research, and resolve technical problems within the IT infrastructure,
- IT asset management (hardware, licensing, operating systems, software),
- Lifecycle management including procurement, employee onboarding, decommissioning,
- Robust, secure, high-availability of our source control/SCM systems,
- Interfacing with operations to define, maintain, and manage security standards for IT and the rest of company,
- Ensuring cost-efficiency of our IT infrastructure, services and systems by keeping us up-to date with new best practices, hardware, services and software,
Required Skills:
- 4 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of corporate security and orchestration solutions (Mac and Windows),
- Advanced familiarity with MacOS (Monterey & Ventura) and Windows 10 ,
- Intermediate Networking; Some level of familiarity with home/cloud networking hardware, and cloud based networking technology (IAM, DNS, VPCs, etc),
- Some familiarity with a wide set of IT technologies (VPN, MDM, password and license management software, Google Workspace, source control and SCM systems),
- Quick learner with a strong documentation standard,
- Exceptional customer service and support skills both interacting with leadership and staff
Bonus Experience:
- Any cloud based services (ideally GCP, Azure, or AWS)
- Custom image orchestration for Windows and Mac,
- Budget & forecasting,
- Android, iOS, and/or tvOS,
- Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages,
- JumpCloud, OAuth, OpenVPN,
- Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages),
- Passion for gaming & technology
