- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Summary of Duties – Responsible for supervising all store personnel during closing shift. Review scheduling, inventory levels, ordering liquor from Superior distribution center, store conditions, security, warehouse operations, reviewing store sanitation, parking lot, service levels, store closing reports and customers service related issues.
- Scope of duties- Performs the duties of a Sales Manager for Superior. Specifically oversees the overall store operation of store and departments within the store.
- Prime Responsibilities – Oversee the following departments:
Store operations
- Effectively communicates with customers and resolves problems and conflicts using his/her best judgment and discretion. Maintains a good rapport with all customers.
- Oversees all aspects of store appearance including sales floor, check stands, shelves, produce, meat, bakery and tortilleria. Delegates task to subordinates to ensure store and departments meet company standards.
- Fully understands company policies with regards to customer service on the front end afternoon receiving, employee related matters.
- Oversees and supervises registers/terminals operating procedures, functions and capabilities, money and check security, check cashing policies, delegates front end assignments to subordinates through Head cashiers or Assistant Sales Manager.
- Responsible for safety enforcement throughout the store.
- Security patrol program utilizing store security and under Loss prevention agents.
- Ensures security throughout warehouses and receiving areas.
- Oversees proper sales recording through register areas for customers and employees.
- Communicates with store manager scheduling and inventory needs to maximize sales
- Ensures store is closed with conditions in accordance with Superior standards
Personnel
- Training of personnel to work in safe and productive manner.
- Maintains employee appearance standards and counsels employees as needed.
- Ensures proper time recording is being followed by employees.
- Directs and oversees work of all subordinates during closing shift.
- Makes themselves available to employees to listen to any grievances and complaints employee may have, resolving if possible and directing employee to proper contact when issue cannot be solved immediately.
- Evaluates employees efficiency and productivity
- Trains and develops employees selected by management for advancement in store.
- Disciplines and counsels selected employees who are he/she are directly supervising.
- Plans and distributes work with assigned methods and techniques to be used.
- Ensure that all employees you are responsible for take their meal and breaks
- Ensure compliance with safety programs and procedures.
