Hospice On Call Nurse Responsibilities:
- Emergency Response: Provide timely and skilled nursing interventions to manage symptoms, pain, and distress for hospice patients during off-hours.
- Telephonic Support: Offer empathetic and knowledgeable guidance to patients, families, and caregivers over the phone, ensuring immediate assistance.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communicate vital information to daytime staff.
- Emotional Comfort: Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families facing urgent end-of-life situations.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as needed, maintaining strict adherence to hospice protocols.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes to ensure continuity of care.
Hospice On Call Nurse Qualifications:
- RN Licensure: Active registered nurse license, demonstrating clinical competence and adherence to nursing standards.
