Superior Production, LLC., a manufacturer of metal stampings, is part of a large privately owned holding company involved in various metal manufacturing processes throughout the continental United States. We provide Stamping and Machining services throughout the Midwest for a variety of customers.

With two plants located in Columbus, Ohio, we service the automotive, appliance, agriculture, and heavy truck industries.

We are seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist with fluency in English and Spanish to join our company.


Under the direction of the HR Director, this position will be heavily involved with internal investigations, company communications, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, reporting, employee appreciation programs, assist employees with various inquires and help to improve established processes.

This person will be the primary contact for employees with human resources matters especially for employees needing communications in Spanish.


Internal Investigations

  • Under the guidance of the HR Director, this position will assist with internal investigations.
  • Obtaining & translating employee statements
  • Drafts formal written discipline
  • Participates and interprets in disciplinary meetings with management and employees


  • Assist with the Open Enrollment process & communications about benefits
  • Updates results in the payroll system and insurance carrier portals
  • Update related company documentation related to benefit changes


  • Oversees the new hire process and related paperwork (I-9, Background checks, drug screen & physical examination)
  • Enrolls new hires in benefits and 401k elections
  • Sets up payroll deductions


  • Updates company careers page
  • Posts positions in various recruiting platforms
  • Assists with job description updates


  • Reconciles 401k contributions & Payroll data to ensure matching amounts
  • 401k Enrollment & change documentation

Annual Reporting / Compliance / Government Reporting

  • EEO-1

  • Annual Worker’s compensation true-up reporting & biannual estimates
  • Employment verifications
  • Unemployment reports
  • 401k Audit assistance

Worker’s Compensation

  • Assist employees with questions related to Worker's compensation
  • Assist with accident investigations
  • Assist with reviewing return-to-work medical documentation

Disability / FMLA / Life / Critical Illness / Accidental coverages Claims

  • Assist with proper paperwork for various insurance claim forms
  • Determines if FMLA is applicable
  • Assist employees with understanding necessary steps for their claims to be approved
  • Provide management with updates regarding leaves of absence

Company Communications

  • Champions the quarterly company newsletter
  • Collaborate with department heads for newsletter content
  • Translates the newsletter in English and Spanish
  • Maintains the community tab in Paylocity for company-wide announcements


  • Updates HRIS System (Paylocity) with changes (address, taxes, direct deposit, wage garnishments, etc.)
  • Assists with hourly payroll
  • Creates manual checks for payroll corrections

Training Records

  • Assists with maintaining various training records

Skills/ Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal, negotiations and conflict resolution skills

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate

· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

· Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations

· Proficient with MS Office Suite; Canva for newsletter is a bonus

· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems

· Fully bilingual in Spanish is required; translation & interpretation experience is bonus

Education & Experience:

  • Associates degree preferred or 2-years of equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience with recruiting, on-boarding and payroll processing desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
  • Must be able to lift 25-lbs
  • Able to access and navigate each department and the organizations facilities
