LAN Technician II, Day Shift, Information Technology

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a LAN Technician II who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a LAN Technician II, you will: • Provide Service Operations response and support for all requests, incidents and access related efforts performed on site at any of the organization’s locations • Assist with the installation, configuration, upgrade, and overall provide day-to-day administration and support required for the AHC compute environment • Support the administration and configuration of end point devices to include laptops, tablets, desktops, peripherals, and clinical devices • Conducts site surveys, assesses and document current site equipment, configurations and user requirements • Ability to take a flexible work schedule and be on call after hours • Follow standard operating procedures in the implementation and transition of software and hardware deployments • Facilitate conversations across AHC employees, vendors and other support teams while implementing or upgrading devices and software • Follow change and release management processes • Work with the Project Management Office on device refresh and general device deployment activities • Participate in the creation of detailed work breakdown structures for the implementation of automated and manual provisioning configurations • Follow PMBOK and ITIL principles in the planning and design of end point device deployments; Assist with requirements data gathering and analysis as needed • Assist with the planning and design end point device workflows • Participate in reviewing vendor solutions to address end point devices requirements of the business and clinical departments • Provide expertise to identify and translate end point workflow into configuration requirements Qualifications include: • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or information technology is preferred • 2 years of experience supporting workstations, peripherals and general end point devices in an enterprise environment • A Certification or similar certification required • ITILv3 Foundations is preferred • An additional industry certification in desktop, mobile, network or server technology is required • Experience working in the healthcare industry or mission critical industry and regulated environment (HIPAA) is preferred Work Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday - Friday and on-call rotation At Adventist HealthCare our job is to care for you.
