Description
The IT Support Technician provides technical support to our residents and staff members via phone, email, and in-person, asking the appropriate questions and using knowledge and resources to diagnose and resolve issues. Primary responsibility is to provide support for all network and telecommunications equipment/systems, as well as audio-visual equipment/systems. Mandatory focus on customer service requires personal qualities of patience, empathy, excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, active listening, and a sense of urgency. Good organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responds to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access
Provides technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software
Monitors and responds quickly and effectively to requests received
Documents internal procedures
Maintains daily performance of computer systems
Asks educated questions and listen to customers to determine the root cause of issues
Runs diagnostic programs to resolve problems
Monitors networks to ensure security and stability
Administers email and anti-virus systems
Documents network changes and performs network address management
Ensures network connectivity throughout the network infrastructure
Supports, troubleshoot, and maintains A/V systems
Assists in research and procurement of IT components and supplies
Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager and/or users via email, voice mail, and/or in-person communication
Requirements
Associate’s degree in information technology and a minimum of two years’ experience working at a help desk mandatory
Two years’ education and training in IT or related field
Two years’ related job experience
Must be highly detailed oriented and analytical to accurately capture customer interactions and close out work tickets in a timely manner
Well-versed in all aspects of computer systems, configuration, set up, and maintenance
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record throughout employment with Support Solutions.
Must meet state and local requirements regarding criminal background check, sexual offender check, abuse registry, drug screening and felony offender listing.
