Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Immediate Full-time or Part-time Position Available for a Direct Support Professional (DSP).

All training provided. Competitive pay scale.

DSP will provide quality supports for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a home setting.

We will provide all PAID Classroom (40 hours) and on the job training (80 hours) you need to be successful in this position.

Position will require weekend, evening, and/or night availability

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive environment for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and provide high quality supports to include: all aspects of daily living, medical, social, and recreational/community access.

· Provides health care assistance including, but not limited to: medication administration, personal hygiene, nutrition, and meal planning / preparation.

· Assists with safety skills, including but not limited to, basic first aid, fire drills, and handling emergency situations

• Maintains homes at a high level of cleanliness - willingness to do whatever it takes to provide high level of care for our individuals.

· High level of Reliability and shift Attendance is mandatory -we are looking for only those dedicated helping our individuals on a consistent basis.

· Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

· Be passionate about providing care and guidance to those in need.

· 21 years of age or older

· High School Diploma or GED

Must be able to pass 8th grade Reading Test.

· Valid Driver’s License with responsible driving record

· Ability to complete training programs and successfully pass associated tests

· Must pass background check and fingerprint clearance

· Ability to multitask, think critically, and practice basic problem solving skills

· Ability to stand, sit, bend, lift, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move intermittently. Use hands to handle or feel. Ability to turn on the knees, back, wrist, shoulders, and grasp with both hands

· Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and move more than 10 lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Pay: Beginning pay is $14.00/hr. After employee becomes med certified, pay will increase to $14.50/hr. After 90 days AND if employee receives positive review of job performance, pay will increase to $15/hr.
