Your job as a Team Lead is to assist your team to help developmentally disabled adults remain living independently.
The position of Team Lead consists of leading, monitoring, and supervising a group of direct support staff
(DSS) and their client case files. Team Leads are responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills to all employees on your team.
To be successful as a Team Lead, you should have a proven track record of team motivation, effective training techniques, and clear communication.
Team Leads should display excellent interpersonal skills to build quality
relationships with clients, client family members, and employees.
Responsibilities
To effectively manage and train DSS.
Manage the day-to-day schedules.
Complete Quality Assurance surveys and Quarterly Home-Visit checklists.
Conduct weekly home visits.
Oversee client medical appointments to ensure medical appointment forms are completed by staff.
Delegate tasks to team members.
Attend bimonthly meetings to discuss Billing Tracker Sheet.
Communicate with admin regarding client supply needs.
Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, service knowledge, and
communication skills.
Conduct quarterly performance reviews.
Regularly communicate with clients, client family members, and all staff.
Manage client cases.
Assist each client with applying for Cal Fresh, IHSS, and housing applications.
Develop an on-call list.
Find shift coverage for staff call-outs.
Cover client shifts if no one is available to cover.
Update all admin personnel on staffing requirements daily.
Attend Quarterly meetings with service coordinators.
Attend company-related zoom meetings.
Ensure all clients are staffed and hours maximized.
Complete client on boarding packets during introductions.
Discipline DSS accordingly with write-ups, verbal warnings, and suspensions.
Turn in all original copies of paperwork.
Complete daily logs, mileage forms, and medical forms.
Make sure all DSS turn in all completed original copies of paperwork.
Complete SIR’s when needed.
Requirements

College degree preferred, but not required.
Experience in care giving required.
