Overview: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing all warehouse, storeroom, contractor and yard inventory and establishes inventory processes to ensure compliance through process optimizations and training, inventory analysis, cycle counting validation, while continually seeking feedback from stakeholders and improving processes to ensure all inventory is accounted for, accurately reflected in the system, and that excess and obsolete inventory is minimized. This role will also travel to various supply yards throughout our footprint where you will be responsible for reconciling inventory, performing inventory adjustments, conducting audits, and managing the front end of our inventory software.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages all inventory processes oversees and validates the accuracy of cycle counts through monitoring and reporting; makes inventory adjustments, as needed, and determines appropriate product/location set up and moves.

Maintains a clear understanding of the day-to-day operations and processes of the warehouses and makes decisions about inventory based on this knowledge. Maintains inventory by location system. Performs and manages the development and maintenance of an accurate and timely cycle count program and investigates discrepancies.

Manages the overall inventory transfer process, including entering transfers, assuring appropriate information is captured and ensures each transfer request is completed accurately.

Troubleshoots all inventory discrepancies using root cause analysis: determines cause, develops and implements plan for resolution and monitors progress; reconciles inventory reports including variance and expired/obsolete products.

Evaluates and recommends required replenishment levels in computer system, regularly, to assure adequate inventory levels on are maintained to support construction projects.

Partners with Purchasing Manager to facilitate the proactive planning and optimizing of inventory levels and devising and implementing strategies to control costs associated with inventory.

Analysis inventory used on projects versus the inventory assigned to the project. Creates disposition plan for any inventory assigned to the project but not used.

Moves inventory between locations to better support construction projects.

Communicates with the leadership team on all inventory issues requiring their attention.

Assists COO, CFO and Purchasing Manager with supply chain planning and analysis.

Assists in performing monthly physical inventory and cycle counts. Ensures inventory record accuracy of better than or equal to 98%.

Develops and documents processes in the Surf Internet document system, in coordination with project managers, to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.

Job function may require travel up to 30% of the time to warehouse and yard locations within Surf’s operating footprint.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or related field of study, or equivalent years of experience

3 years working for a warehouse, warehouse operations, construction or related field

Demonstrated understanding of Accounting and Financial analysis, capex/fixed assets, etc.

Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communications capabilities.

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
