What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time/Per Diem Circulator position at Surgery Center of Kenai?

Primary obligations include preparing operating room and equipment for surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field, collaborating with healthcare professionals on patient care, and providing patients with education on surgical care.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for the OR, including utilization of preference cares and ability to anticipate surgeon preferences.
- Provide perioperative patient care and safety in all perioperative care areas including medication management including assistance with anesthesia.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers and other surgical team members to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures and ensure supplies and equipment are ready for cases.
- Prepare and educate patients and families for surgery.
- Observe sterile techniques in handling instruments, medications, and equipment.
Requirements:
- AK state RN license
- Minimum 1 year surgical/operating room experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Exceptional knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment, and sterile techniques
- Proficient organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with high attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in surgical healthcare
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $47,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
