We are focused on providing affordable quality furniture and mattresses at everyday outlet pricing. We are headquartered in Gahanna providing services to our retail furniture stores located in the US and Canada.
Position Description
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team and work with our accounting department. Accounts Payable Specialist responsibilities include processing payments, verifying invoices and performing account reconciliations as needed.
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the following:
· Match purchase orders to receiving documents and invoices, and process invoices and disbursements.
· Validate data, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper general ledger codes.
· Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
· Route invoices for approval
· Process payments timely. Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
· Communicate with stores and vendors via email and telephone, as well as establish new accounts.
· Assist accounting team as needed with various projects.
· Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements & Skills
· 2 years full cycle AP processing & review experience.
· Understanding of basic bookkeeping
· Strong attention to detail
· Works well in a team and independently
· Ability to set priorities, organize and accomplish tasks within deadlines
· Good verbal & written communication skills
· Basic knowledge of MS Excel
· Growth Opportunity to assist in other accounting functions as needed
· Experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus
