What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN, Brookings Clinic position at Sutter Health?
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, PA or FNP utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the care of selected patients of all ages/developmental states experiencing changes in the normal health process. Works in typical emergent health care setting with patients who are experiencing a wide range of acute medical or infectious disease conditions. Participates in the patient/family care and experience through critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education
Minimum of a high school education is required.
AA/AS Degree Desired.
CA LVN and Oregon LPN, BLS-HCP required.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
Clinic experience preferred. Experience with EPIC (electronic health records) preferred. Must demonstrate basic nursing skills, communications, and problem solving skills, and computer knowledge.
Special Skills/Equipment
The LVN is accountable to the patients, unit Manager, and co-workers in the provision of care in promoting a collaborative environment. Practicing with the scope of the CA LVN Nurse Practice Act and Title 22 regulations governing acute care hospitals.
