Position Overview:
Function as the lead fundraiser and chief fundraising strategist for Philanthropy and is dedicated to developing and leading a comprehensive philanthropy program across the entire service area in order to steadily increase the organization's net philanthropic revenue. This includes engaging with system and regional leaders as well as with local fundraisers within the Sutter Health System to identify funding priorities and develop and implement service metrics. This position will coordinate and guide an integrated philanthropic team to maximize fundraising opportunities in a collaborative and strategic fashion. Responsible for the full spectrum of the philanthropy program including donor acquisition, retention and stewardship functions, prospect research and management, communications, legal/compliance and budgets.

EDUCATION
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Bachelor's or equivalent education/experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
- 12 years of demonstrated experience comprehensive fund development, both as a fundraiser and manager in a health care or educational setting.
- 12 years experience with proven track record leading geographically diverse fundraising teams.
- 12 years experience in effectively motivating and encouraging senior leadership, volunteers, and staff to higher levels of philanthropic performance.
- 12 years experience in annual gift and major gift solicitation.
- 12 years experience with a track record in achieving increasingly higher fundraising results within an organization.
- 12 years experience in management managing and working with a team.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Pay Range: 80.6-128.97
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
