We are seeking a data driven marketing analyst to join our fast-paced, growing organization. Candidate is responsible for performing research on new and emerging markets, providing insight regarding market and product trends for catalog products, proposing new items to offer, organizing and delivering reports, analyzing inventory, point of sale (POS) data and more. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex data mining/analysis and be able to easily extrapolate trends and suggest ideas. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Performs distribution point of sale trend analysis
- Researches and compiles data related to current product market, customer demographics and interest, and factors influencing product demand; analyzes results to identify ways of maximizing sales and market penetration of current products
- Analyzes company product portfolio against the channel to determine gaps and identify potential new product lines
- Reviews and evaluates market pricing for standard products; analyzes pricing and strategies
- Researches customer applications and products; identifies market opportunities by product segmentation
- Reports findings, complete with visuals and text explaining complex findings to company stakeholders
- Analyzes marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships
- Inventory 'Buy Now' clicks review
- Inventory NDR report review
- Conducts competing / complementary product research
- Keeps up with new / emerging market research
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or related field
- Motivated self-starter with strong business acumen
- Extreme knowledge of Excel, including PivotTables and formula creations
- Experience using SQL
- Proficient using Microsoft Suite
- Organized and detail-oriented
Preferred
- Knowledge of creating and editing macros
- Excel VBA and/or Crystal Reports knowledge
- Experience using statistical analysis software and database communicators (SAS, SPSS, SQL etc.
- Experience with Jupiter Notebook, Python, API’s
