Job Description
• Responsible for planning, testing, tuning, configuration and setup of Microsoft Sharepoint farm/ sites.
• Managing, Supporting & Troubleshooting Microsoft Sharepoint Server environment
• Monitor and maintain sharepoint infrastructure
• Install, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, manage sites and upgrade Microsoft Sharepoint servers & other enterprise sites assigned
• Managing and checking the overall server health, functionality & Permissions
• Regular review of the events and messages reported in Event Viewer and Performance Monitor
• Monitoring SharePoint trends (e.g. site usage and growth, disk space usage and growth), Setting up alerts and enforcing policies
• Monitoring SharePoint disk space usage, Analyze and report the SharePoint usage and activity, content and storage, Quota Management & File size limit
• Regularly auditing SharePoint environment & Moving/copying of sites
• Supporting network load balancing needs and ensuring its correct operation (NLB)
• Regular review, clean-up, management and configuration of SharePoint accounts and sites, Configure SharePoint services and settings
• Experience in checking for operating system, SQL Server and SharePoint patches and cumulative updates
• Supports Intranet sites built on SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint (MOSS) 2007, Manages system security, system patching and upgrades, Deploys custom developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages
• Administers, Manage and maintains sites and sub-sites, Security of the site layout structure and content, Provide support both logical and physical architecture for a multi-farm environment
• Work with business stakeholders (internal and external) to review and refine requirements including the development of prototypes and mocks outside production environments
• Manage permissions and restrict and revoke access where necessary
• Experience in content management & different migration tools
• Configure and maintain workflows (custom developed and out of the box)
• Coordination with offshore technical personnel to assist in the resolution of problems
• Support and integrate SharePoint technologies
• Support development team throughout development, QA and UAT testing and production rollouts. Maintain application integration and supporting technologies
• Manage existing content for SharePoint User Resource Center (URC) including contribution of documentation, known errors, databases and knowledge base article creation as required
• Provide Subject Matter Experts (SME) level expertise and address incident escalations from support
• Configure, maintain and report on web analytics in SharePoint Farm
• Work and deliver results under defined Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and deadlines
• Provide end-user support by utilizing interpersonal skills to communicate with and instruct end-users on SharePoint products and technologies
• Maintain a Change Management log for changes made in the production environment
• Resolve Help Desk tickets as assigned
• The Systems Administrator employee will also complete other duties as assigned by the Director of ITS Enterprise Information Systems.
• Provide on-call support for the sharepoint environment
• Participate in weekend maintenance activities (such as site moves, server reboots, patching, change management activities), as required
• Provide tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting support of shrepoint issues; investigate user escalation calls, finding optimum solutions for both users and the company
• Excellent communication and verbal skills.
• Experience in handling customer and severity cases.
• Maintains the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of messaging systems
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of Incident and Request Management (ITIL-Framework) is plus
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
