ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages and controls the daily, weekly and monthly schedule in order to meet the scheduling needs.
- Arranges, integrates and represents all facets of scheduling
- Strategically plans shifts to determine most efficient use of staffing numbers.
- Follows up with employees who miss scheduled shifts to address any issues and increase likelihood of follow through in the future.
- Determine staffing shortfalls and reports job vacancies and scheduling problems to Manager.
- Confirm staff details and working hours to ensure accurate employee compensation
- Approves vacation time
- Communicates with other members of the leadership team to determine what shifts need to be filled.
- Handle payroll approval
- Monitors overtime
- Contacting direct support professionals using all forms of communication necessary (phone calls, texts, emails etc.)
- Reviews daily schedule to ensure accuracy, changes are updated etc.
- Follows scheduling workflow
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university is preferred; or five years related experience and/or training, in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- Internal candidates must have achieved CRMA, DSPII, First Aid/CPR, Diabetic Care, and Safety Care Certificates.
- External candidates must obtain the following certifications CRMA, DSP, First Aid/CPR, Diabetic Care, and Safety Care within one (1) month of hire.
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license, and remain within Sweetser’s policy guidelines.
EXPERIENCE:
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Four years’ experience working in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Field preferred
