What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard and Shop Helper position at Swiderski Equipment?
Swiderski Equipment, one of Wisconsin’s premier and long-established agriculture and construction equipment dealerships, is seeking a Yard and Shop Helper to support our shop. This position will perform a variety of tasks to help ensure the yard and shop is clean and running smoothly. This position works outdoors a majority of time through all seasons and requires consistent moving, lifting and climbing. This individual works especially closely with the store management, service department and sales team to ensure equipment is displayed properly and ready for sale, and the facilities are well-maintained.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in receiveing deliveries and unloading equipment using forklift
- Maintaining facility appearance by performing landscaping duties such as snow removal, mowing and lawn care
- Position and neatly organize equipment for display
- Clean and detail equipment
- General housekeeping
- Day to day responsibilities could vary with new responsibilities introduced often and will require someone who is organized and able to complete long-term projects while simultaneously solving day to day problems.
- Complete work in a safe, professional and timely manner
What It Takes
- Ability to work outside in a variety of working conditions
- Positive attitude and self-motivated with keen attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work extended hours during the week and on weekends
- Prior experience with agriculture or heavy equipment is highly desired. Ag background is also a plus. Salary commensurate with experience.
