Job Posting for BOILER/KILN OPERATOR at Swift Lumber, Inc.
Preferred candidate will be motivated, positive, energetic and flexible in working days or nights and will have 2 - 3 years working experience and a full working knowledge of hydraulic systems, equipment and components.
RESPONSIBILITES:
The ability to operator loaders
Pull fire boxes under gate by procedure
Applicant ust be able to lockoutan chains and augers for belt replaceent
Must know how to light boilers by procedure
Must be able to identify problems with the boilers, chains, and fans
Also, must be able to identify and lockout each piece of the boiler equipment
He or she must know know the difference between the forced and induced draft
Must be knowlegeable with boiler chemicals
Must know when to open the boiler doors and when to keep them
The applicant must know to hang chains and augers safely while using lockout tags
Must know how how to remove ash boxes and dump them
Must know how to call for assitance when needed
Must have a good eye to look at the flame and determine how the fuel is burning.
