Position Overview
The IT Systems Engineer Cloud is responsible for assisting with the design, implementation and support of enterprise-wide solutions that reduce operating risk in alignment with architecture and business needs. This includes analyzing, developing, modifying, testing, and maintaining the systems.
The Role
- Engages in enterprise-wide design, development, implementation, and deployment and utilization of system and software tools.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts for IT infrastructure and related systems while collaborating with other IT personnel.
- Leads lifecycle planning and the development of long-term strategy for systems.
- Develops and maintains system config, procedural and technical documentation.
- Responsible for system provisioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Performs all system scheduling, change control, security and applicable operational policies and procedures including communicating with other teams when making changes.
- Monitors daily operations of systems and associated components for availability and performance.
- Assists with the design, build, management, monitoring, and support of IT systems and related components.
- Assists with the Design, Execution, Support, and Optimization of Disaster Recovery Failover and Failback.
- Assists with performance and tuning analysis, capacity planning, support, strategic technical planning, problem resolution tracking, and software upgrades and installation.
- Maintains and supports Active Directory, File Servers, Print Solutions, Backups, Virtualization, Physical Servers, Virtual Servers, Systems related Infrastructure Tool sets, ITSM Tool, DNS, O365, Azure, and Storage Appliances.
- Provides technical guidance and serves as the escalation point for other team members.
The Experience Needed
- 3 years of hands-on systems engineer designing, building, and operating medium to large enterprise systems (compute, storage, virtualization, etc.)
- 1 years of experience with deploying and managing Microsoft cloud technologies such as Azure, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, Azure AD DS, IaaS, or Intune
- 1 years of experience with deploying, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory, AD FS, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policies
- 1 years of experience with deploying, configuring, and maintaining VMware virtualization environments
- 1 years of experience with PowerShell and other scripting languages
- Base understanding of networking (firewalls, application delivery controllers, TCP/IP networking, VLANs)
- Knowledge of various aspects of system design and design best practices.
- High level of experience and troubleshooting of Windows Operating Systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage own work and meet deadlines
- Proven track record of systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
The Preferred Experience
- 3 years of experience with deploying and managing Microsoft cloud technologies such as Azure, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, Azure AD DS, IaaS, or Intune
- 3 years of experience with deploying, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory, AD FS, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policies
- Master's Degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
